Cases We Handle
Our main focus is motorcycle cases and we enjoy helping riders get the medical treatment and justice they deserve. As a rider, Jacque Touzet, chose to market himself to the general public as a motorcycle lawyer because he never wanted to turn another biker away that went to another lawyer, got poor treatment and results, and had a claim that suffered because of that. Now the word spreading, and people know that they have a lawyer dedicated to helping other riders, but these aren’t the only cases we handle. Our fellow riders call with a litany of issues, and MotoJustice has stepped in to help on numerous cases that didn’t involve Motorcycles.
Motorcycle Accidents

This is our focus; this is our passion. Check out our testimonials page to see what we are all about and read the kind words written by our former clients. Jacque Touzet hopes that one day, he will not be needed because drivers in cars and trucks will have put down their phones and started paying attention to the bikers that share the road with them. He wishes that all riders could ride in safety and with others having total awareness of their surroundings, but until that day comes, MotoJustice is here to make sure that the men and women that ride have a voice when accidents happen.
Car and Truck Accidents

We all have a car or truck we drive to work or pick up our kids from school, to the exclusion of our wonderful motorcycles. What happens if you leave the bike in the garage, take your truck, and get hit by a negligent driver? You can call MotoJustice for that too. We have helped riders navigate the same issues that pop up in all injury cases. Call! We can help.
18-Wheeler Accidents

We have your back. MotoJustice recently handled an 18-wheeler case where an innocent driver was t-boned by an 18-wheeler. The client heard of Jacque Touzet and knew he was good at handling Motorcycle cases so he called. He said, “I heard you are a bad A$$ motorcycle lawyer, but can you help me with an 18-wheeler case? I’m hurt and I think I need surgery”. MotoJustice swung into action and helped with getting his vehicle repaired and assisted with setting up his care. After multiple invasive procedures, 3 surgeries to his back, hip and neck, the case settled for over $1,000,000.00. But MotoJustice did not stop there; we negotiated his medicals down to the bare minimum and we handed THE CLIENT a check for over $700,000.00! That is called a GREAT result. And next time you see an add that says, “My lawyer got ME _____ dollars”, read the fine print and make sure that that’s not what the lawyers, doctors and client shared. MotoJustice makes sure the client gets the lion share of the money, because that is the way it should be.
Dog Bite Cases

We can handle it. While attending a Motorcycle Police Officer training event, one of the officers pulled aside Jacque Touzet and asked for some help. The officer’s child had been bitten by a dog, severing a finger and to make things worse, the dog ate the finger. The child was permanently disfigured and the owner of the dog was not even interested in paying for the hospital expenses. MotoJustice swung into action immediately and forced the dog owner’s homeowner’s insurance to pay for all expenses, plus future medicals and pain and suffering. Since then, we have handled other dog bite cases and we attack those just as aggressively as our Motorcycle Injury cases.
Boat Accidents

If you think a motorcycle case is intricate, try handling a boat accident case. These events often happen far from traditional resources like police departments and EMS. A police report is almost never available and if you find one, it’s done after the fact. Witnesses are virtually impossible to find. But, since MotoJustice struggles with very similar hurdles in Motorcycle Injury cases, we are fine-tuned to do the same in boating accidents. We have handled our share, and our most recent involved an accident in the marshes of Plaquemines Parish, far south of New Orleans, near the Gulf of Mexico. There were no witnesses and the report generated by Wildlife and Fisheries was full of errors and omissions. The driver of the boat was ticketed for his “intentional acts” which further complicated the matter. MotoJustice stepped in and not only handled the Wildlife case (see the “about” section to see more about Jacque and his former life as a fishing guide), but the injuries too. The case settled without a lawsuit for $100,000.00 and the majority of the settlement went to the injured passenger on the boat. Another home run by the skilled lawyers at MotoJustice.
Premises Liability

Trip and fall on a defective walkway? Slip and fall on a wet floor at a business? We can help. Our clients send referrals for a litany of injury events, and, if the cause is just, MotoJustice will take the case. We screen these cases very strictly since we don’t want to be associated with frivolous lawsuits, but sometimes good people get hurt by the negligence of others and that may not always happen while riding a motorcycle. MotoJustice currently has several premises liability cases open and nearing settlement. They were sent by satisfied clients who wanted the experience and expertise that MotoJustice brought to their motorcycle injury claims. We are willing to hire the experts necessary to prosecute these claims and we certainly have the doctors on call that can help those injured parties. It’s the same group of talented doctors that help heal our riders and get them back to doing what we love: riding motorcycles.
Mr. Touzet and his associates swung into action immediately by going to the scene, interviewing witnesses, getting the police report and securing video of the accident from a local merchant. His quick action guaranteed that no witness testimony or video were lost.
