I reached out to Jacque Touzet at a Harley-Davidson Event that MotoJustice attended here in the New Orleans area. As a certified Harley-Davidson mechanic at the dealership, I had heard he helped other riders and I approached him about my case. I already had a lawyer but he said that if I ever felt I wasn’t priority or she wasn’t doing her job that he’d take a look at my case for me. You see I was involved in a pretty bad bike crash at highway speeds and I was not only injured, but had been wronged not only by the cops but by my lazy attorney as well. Despite being an innocent party to the accident, the cops chose to scare away my witnesses and cite me for careless operation of my motorcycle claiming I was a distracted driver.
Unfortunately, I had reached out to one of those national “bike lawyer” advertisers and I ended up getting sent to some lawyer that knew about as much about bikes as I do about growing petunias. She refused to get her hands dirty fighting my criminal matter leaving me floating in the wind. She did not explain this to me ‘til after I signed her as counsel, stating that I “should hire her cousin” or to handle that portion of the case on my own. She also did not want to do anything or gather evidence on my behalf until just before the one year filing deadline. On the few occasions I met with her she was more concerned with her looks than my case, often repeating how old she was but doesn’t look it. She was also located almost an hour away from my home and the accident making it difficult to deliver her any needed paperwork. Luckily I prevailed in criminal court since I found out later that if I had plead guilty to anything, my civil case against the lady that hit me would have been destroyed.
When I first met with Jacque, he was pretty upset to hear that I had been left to handle my own defense in criminal court and forced to do a lot of the legwork on the civil case. Turns out that my first lawyer had not done much on the case. When I went to Moto Justice, I saw an immediate change. They filed suit on my case right away and began gathering information immediately. I could tell I was a big priority and they truly understood what needed to be done and they moved incredibly fast. They created such a buzz in my case that an unusual thing happened: my UM insurer tendered policy limits BEFORE we had even discussed settlement with the negligent driver’s insurance company. Then they set about forcing the driver’s insurance company to settle. Of Course, despite the clear fault of the other driver, they balked at paying their share of the damages. So, Touzet then threatened to expose the other driver as an illegal alien, and that the policy holder had attempted to commit insurance fraud herself to draw attention from the driver. The subpoenas were about to fly when the insurance company cried “uncle”. That resulted in another full policy payout for my pain and suffering and damages. Then they negotiated the majority of my medical records down so that I could pocket the lion’s share of the settlement.
I am sad that I ever got duped into going with a national chain claiming motorcycle expertise, when all they did was sell my lead to some lawyer that had no business handling a motorcycle case. I am glad that I finally found some real motorcycle lawyers that were willing to fight for me and make sure that I got the justice I deserved. I have to thank MotoJustice for helping me and I urge every biker to seek them out if trouble ever finds them out on the road. The lawyers at MotoJustice not only truly care about riders but are riders themselves and they know what they are doing!
I am a 73 year old veteran and an avid motorcyclist. Unfortunately, I was hit on my bike in New Orleans and I was severely injured. My shoulder needed surgery, my bike was totaled and my clothes and helmet were soaked with gas and damaged. Since I work at a motorcycle repair shop, I spoke with the owner and he recommended I call MotoJustice. I called other firms and billboard lawyers that claimed to be motorcycle lawyers. I was not impressed and then decided to call Jacque. He impressed me as a legit motorcycle lawyer and since he rides on the street and the track, I knew he would do a good job on my case. He and his team are very professional and fought hard to get me the medical care I needed and replace my bike. They also got me compensated for my pain and suffering and unlike most lawyers, they gave me the lion’s share of the money. If you are in a motorcycle accident, I suggest you call the lawyers at MotoJustice. They will not disappoint you.
I would like to take a moment to talk about my experience with MotoJustice. I was was in a motorcycle accident and needed help to navigate the legal world of injuries, and repairing my motorcycle. To be honest, I have been in two previous accidents where I paid everything out of my own pocket. So, when this accident happened, I was determined to seek assistance on fixing myself and my bike.
My limited past experience working with a Law Firm had me apprehensive, but I made the call to MotoJustice and I'm very glad I did. The initial consultation was free. They helped me at every turn of the process. I got my bike fixed, medical bills taken care of and compensation for the lifelong impact of my bodily injuries.
MotoJustice played hardball with the insurance companies until they reached a settlement. I never would have been able to do this on my own. The settlement covered all the medical bills, repairs, attorney fees, and a nice settlement for myself.
I would like to personally thank Jaque Touzet. He went way above and beyond his services to help. Prior to the settlement, we were in the process of purchasing a house. We needed part of the settlement as a down payment, but the settlement check had not cleared yet. Jacque graciously gave us the money we needed out of his own personal account for our closing. We paid him back out of my portion of the settlement with no interest or additional fees. We would not have been able to get our house without his help.
Jaque has even called me a few times after everything, just to see how I'm doing with my injuries and our new house. To me, that's customer service. I was treated like a person and that I actually mattered to them. I would recommend MotoJustice to all my friends and anyone else that needs a law firm to get their life back on track and have peace of mind.
Thank you MotoJustice!

The lawyers at MotoJustice have all been more than wonderful to work with; from what I did not realize, would be from start to finish!
I was hit from behind on my motorcycle at a stop light, because of a distracted driver who hit the car behind me. I landed on the hood of the car that hit me. What I Initially thought to be bumps and bruises ended up being significantly worse. (And to think I almost waived it off and went home!)
A couple of days later, I called Jacque, after hours, really just looking for advice. Within minutes he had me on the phone with his team, and they immediately got the ball rolling!
That’s when the recovery began...with Scans and MRI's…soon we had game plan. Only to be told that in some of my scans they noticed something odd, and I should probably get it checked out. Had I walked away like initially planned, I would not have found out that I have cancer that is still capable of being treated. Had it gone much longer, I would not be writing this now. Jacque, his quick response team, and their eagerness to help has literally saved my life.
Now, I am well on the road to recovery in more ways than one! Oh, and they were even able to save my “baby” (my beloved motorcycle!) from being totaled! I finished the repairs 2 days before I was medically cleared to ride again. The day I was released to ride, I ran home to put her on the road and break in the new parts with a quick 300 miles! The happiest I have been in months!
I couldn't have asked for better representation. The whole team has been amazing through the entire process, and I know who to call if I ever need help in this department again! Don't wait, and don't waste time with someone else who won't invest in YOU like these guys do. You won't regret it!
I reached out to Jacque Touzet after a bad accident in my home town of Houma, Louisiana. I was cruising along on my bike when a guy pulled out in his truck and blocked the entire highway. I had no choice but to lay my bike down and I hurt my hip, back and leg pretty badly. The bike was bashed up too. After he caused the crash, the guy backed into the driveway of Walgreen’s and pretended that it didn’t happen. When it came time to make a claim for my injuries and fix my bike, the insurance company believed the other driver’s bullshit story and refused to pay.
That’s when a buddy that went to MotoJustice for his case recommended I reach out to Jacque Touzet. He took my call personally and soon after the accident, he drove an hour to my house to pick me up and took me to the accident site. I sat in his car in amazement while he stood on a busy highway taking pictures, then went from door to door in the freezing cold, knocking on doors and asking if anyone had seen the accident. He even walked into local businesses and asked for videos and any witness information. By the time he dropped me back at home, he had found a witness that saw the guy blocking the road and got his name and phone number. Within days, he had his investigator there at the house interviewing him and recording his statement. He then contacted the insurance company again and shared the witness information, but they wouldn’t budge. So, he filed suit and threatened to expose the false statements made in the police report at a deposition of the driver.
That changed everything, and they paid us policy limits for my injuries and medical bills. MotoJustice even had them pay to replace my jeans, motorcycle jacket, and helmet and reimburse me for the value of the damages on the bike. I just can’t say enough good things about the Lawyers at MotoJustice. They actually worked a miracle in my case and brought the other driver to Justice. They really fight hard for riders and I recommend their services to anyone that needs a fighter in their corner.
I was told about MotoJustice and attorney Jacque Touzet by a friend at NOLA Motorsports Park. He told me Jacque not only rode bikes but focused his legal practice on helping riders.
I was in a bad wreck with my sport bike and suffered a brain injury after flying over the hood of some woman that was not paying attention. Her insurance company offered me $2,500 to settle my claims with the other driver. I knew I would need help to get the medical care I needed. I called Mr. Touzet and he laughed at their offer telling me, “That’s ridiculous.” Exactly one year later and after much haggling with not only the lady’s insurer but also my UM insurer, Mr. Touzet settled for full policy limits on both policies. He helped me get the brain MRI’s needed to help assess my brain injury and even set me up with a reputable neurologist. He even went so far as to meet me at the doctor’s office to make sure I had all my MRI films and the information needed to diagnose me. I can tell you that without Mr. Touzet, I’d be in pretty bad shape and without compensation for my injuries. He has followed up with me even long after the case settled and set up follow-up testing to assure I’m out of the woods. There is no better friend to a biker than Jacque Touzet, and I recommend him if you have any bike-related case.
I was operating my 2018 BMW in the Bywater section of New Orleans when a car blew a stop sign, completely taking me and my bike out. I was knocked unconscious and came to while being attending to by bystanders and eventually EMTs. My hands were injured as well as my shoulders, legs and back and I was lucky to have full protection for my face and head as well as a motorcycle jacket, jeans and boots. But for those protective measures, I would have been horribly injured. What followed after was a full blown harassment by the insurance company for the guy that hit me. I felt that the fact that he was ticketed for his fault in the accident and my clear innocence would help with getting my damages paid without much fanfare. I was completely wrong and they treated me like I was the cause of the accident. Property damage and attending to my injuries became a cat and mouse game with them, and the few conversations I did have with them left me frustrated since the adjuster was completely rude and not very helpful. At that point, I looked to my fellow riding community to see who could help me with this situation, and MotoJustice rose to the top of the list of lawyers that handle motorcycle cases. As soon as we met and I retained Jacque Touzet as my lawyer, his team began work on my claim. He sent me to a hand specialist to ensure that my hands were adequately tested and treated so that my work would not be affected by the accident. After I treated for all of my injuries, MotoJustice pressed for a settlement and when the insurance company tried to play games with them, they filed suit against the driver and the insurance company. After battling on my behalf, they eventually forced them to pay for my pain and suffering as well as ALL of my medical bills. In the end, I walked away with the lion’s share of the settlement thanks to their efforts. I fully recommend MotoJustice if you are ever in a motorcycle accident and it was nice to speak to a lawyer that actually rides and knows about motorcycling when dealing with these types of cases.
What a wonderworker Jacque is! He was recommended by a mutual friend, 21 months after my disabling motorcycle accident. His first reaction upon hearing my plight was, “That makes me mad. We’re going to make that insurance company pay.”
And pay they did—100% of the policy limits. Not only that, but he got money from my insurance company that I didn’t know I had coming to me, and he negotiated with the care providers to reduce my medical bills, allowing me to keep more of the settlement in my pocket.
It was such a pleasure doing business with him. He always provided timely updates concerning my case, both with texts and phone calls. Like all his other clients, I can’t emphasize it strongly enough—If you’ve had a motorcycle accident, Jacque Touzet is the lawyer to have in your corner.
I was returning home on my Ducati Multistrada having just visited a motorcycle show, and I was minutes from my home when the accident occurred. Four teenage girls, all packed in a small Nissan pulled right in front of me at an intersection, and I did not even have time to grab the brake lever. One witness described me as “Spider-Man” as I flew through the intersection. It’s a funny description, but my landing was not as humorous. Thankfully, I survived the crash, and the young lady was ticketed for her negligence, but my bike and my body were seriously damaged. I felt I should consult with an attorney, and Jacque Touzet came highly recommended as someone who specializes in motorcycle accident cases.
I am not a big fan of court cases, so I was hesitant when I met with Jacque. I told him that based on the fact the other driver was ticketed, I was sure everything would work itself out. I didn’t think I would need a lawyer. Boy, was I wrong!
What followed was nearly a year of wrangling with insurance companies and that young driver. She contested the ticket and demanded that her insurance company deny my claim. I went from positive to downright angry. Thankfully, I signed up with Jacque the day we met, and he guided me through the red tape and delays that both her insurer and mine created to keep me from being compensated for my riding gear, my bike, and my injuries. Jacque Touzet kept in constant contact with me while he negotiated the reimbursements for my helmet and riding equipment. He helped me get a replacement Ducati including the value of all the aftermarket accessories that were on my wrecked bike. He pressed until all pertinent policies paid maximum limits. And he walked me through all the medical treatments necessary to make me fit enough to ride. Two knee surgeries later, I’m as good as new and enjoying the new Multistrada that Jacque helped me secure as part of the settlement for my case.
The only mistake I made was thinking that it would be easy. Thankfully, there is a personal injury lawyer out there who knows motorcycles and is truly interested in getting clients back on a bike and back on the road. That lawyer is Jacque Touzet.
I was in a pretty bad bike wreck that totaled my bike and did a real number on my back and shoulder. The bike shop I worked with had clients that went to MotoJustice, and I saw the quality of their work. From getting the bikes through our repair shop and back on the road, to the handling of the riders’ injury claims. When an inattentive driver took me out on my Ducati Streetfighter, I knew I had to call Jacque immediately.
The bike was totaled and he helped me get top dollar and didn’t charge me a fee for helping with that part of the case. MotoJustice then made sure that the other guy’s insurance company tendered policy limits and had my UM insurer do the same. When the hospitals and doctors came calling for their money, they negotiated with them to get my bills reduced. In the end, they even cut their fee nearly in half to assure that I would walk away with the biggest check in the group. The lawyers at MotoJustice really care about riders, so if some bad luck finds you, call them for help.
I worked in the motorcycle trade industry and heard about Jacque Touzet from some motorcyclists he had helped in the past. I had the misfortune of being hit by driver that darted into my lane and tossed me off the bike and on to the concrete. Despite the protective gear I was wearing, I had terrible road rash and burns on my back, side, and legs. My knee was also injured.
I contacted Jacque soon after the motorcycle accident, and he was able to meet with me within a day. He helped me get medical treatment without any out-of-pocket expenses. He then began negotiations with the insurance company of the guy that hit me. They denied coverage because a ticket was not issued to their insured. Jacque pressed them hard, but they still would not budge. Finally, he filed suit in state court and embarked on some legal wrangling. Thanks to Jacque’s efforts, the insurance company, which had previously offered nothing, settled for just $200 under policy limits!
I was beyond relieved when I heard this. And when the medical providers asked for their payment, he negotiated with them to lower their bills so that I could keep the lion’s share of the settlement. He worked hard on my behalf, and I recommend Jacque Touzet if you have any motorcycle-related personal injury issue or claim.
I first heard of MotoJustice when attending a motorcycle rally at my friend's garage. A year or so later I was involved in an accident late at night when a car ran a red light and hit me from the side. Luckily, I was able to walk away from the accident without immediate medical attention, although I was pretty banged up, suffered a concussion, and my bike was wrecked. Even though a police report was made and the person ticketed for running a red light, I wasn't quite sure what to do and definitely wasn't in the condition to deal with insurance companies or try to make doctor appointments.
Thankfully, I remembered MotoJustice and called them first thing in the morning. Jacque immediately had appointments for me to see the very best doctors the next day with no hassle, no fuss, and no dealing with insurance companies, and I was able to quickly receive the attention I needed to put me on the road to a fast recovery.
And the same can be said about the property claim too. I had a check cut for a new bike, gloves, helmet, backpack, etc within a couple of weeks with no hassle!
Jacque not only focuses his practice on motorcycle accidents but he truly cares about motorcycle riders, so you'll be hard-pressed to find a better team to have in your corner. So glad I called MotoJustice - thanks for everything, Jacque!
While riding my Yamaha R-6 on I-10 in Metairie, I was cut off by a speeding truck. I did a full on “stoppie” into the back of the vehicle. The driver of the truck immediately sped away, but thankfully, an off-duty officer saw the entire accident and chased him down and forced him to come back to the scene. The insurance company looked as if they would make things right and I was clearly not at fault, so I assumed it would be easy to handle my case on my own and not hire a lawyer.
I was pretty badly hurt with serious neck and shoulder injuries. They fixed my bike OK, but when it came to my injuries, the insurance company really gave me the run around. When they offered me $2,500 for my injuries, I knew they were not going to do right by me. So, I hired Jacque Touzet to represent me. I knew Mr. Touzet from my work as a motorcycle mechanic at the local Triumph/Ducati Dealership, and he is an avid motorcyclist.
He took the case and fought hard to get me a proper settlement from the insurance company. If it wasn’t for Mr. Touzet, I would certainly have had to pay out of pocket for my medical bills, and I wouldn’t have received any money for my pain and suffering. His hard work got me full reimbursement for my co-pays and my medical costs as well as a settlement for personal injury. He is an excellent motorcycle accident attorney.
I was stopped at a light when a drunk college student slammed on the brakes behind me. His equally drunk friend who was following him to the next bar crashed into him who then sent him into me. My 1993 Harley Fatboy was damaged and so was I. After getting the runaround from the two drunks and their insurers, I hired Jacque Touzet to handle my case.
Mr. Touzet appeared in criminal court to monitor the proceedings of the DUI cases and used that information when dealing with the insurance companies. He arranged to have my bike fixed at a Harley dealership and not some random shop chosen by the insurance company. He also arranged for medical treatment, and I didn’t even have to pay a co-pay.
In the end, my bike was fixed and my body was healed, and I never had to lift a finger save for going to the doctor. Jacque Touzet is a hell of a lawyer and a true friend to motorcyclists. As a rider, he understands what needs to be done in these types of cases. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
I got damn near run over in a hit and run! The witness’s number was miraculously lost and the police officer somehow neglected to mention the hit and run in his story. He ended up writing me a ticket for following too close. Jacque fought to the very end with everything against us, except we had the truth. Because of him I was able to upgrade this go around to a brand new Superduke 1290r. I’m forever grateful to him and wouldn’t use anyone else. He’s the best.. period.
I contacted Mr. Touzet in December 2014 when I was hit on my 1981 CX500 Honda. It was just after work, and I was traveling below the limit in the right lane on Orleans Avenue in New Orleans, when an SUV crossed into my lane to turn right. He cut in front of me, causing me to crash into the side of his vehicle. My bike was smashed, my leg was broken, and I was hurting all over. Needless to say, I was in need of help, and my classic bike was likely totaled.
Mr. Touzet and his associates swung into action immediately by going to the scene, interviewing witnesses, getting the police report and securing video of the accident from a local merchant. His quick action guaranteed that no witness testimony or video were lost. Once the claim was filed, he pressed for action with the insurance company of the guy who hit me. Not only were my injuries serious, but I had poured a bunch of money into the bike with aftermarket parts and various upgrades, and my nice riding gear was ruined.
Mr. Touzet researched what my vintage ride was worth and set about getting a fair price for it. Once he got that, then negotiated a really low buy back for the bike from the insurance company. He also had the insurance company reimburse me for a new helmet, gloves, jacket and pants. All of these items added up to one large property damage check and Mr. Touzet did NOT take a percentage of that money. I kept it all!
Having the option of buying the salvage was great. I got to keep the bike title so that I choose to either fix the bike or sell it for parts. Mr. Touzet then pressured the insurance company to tender full policy limits for my injuries. In other words, we maxed out the policy coverage, and I cannot describe how grateful I was to know that I did not leave a single dollar on the negotiating table. Thanks to Mr. Touzet’s hard work, the case was completed to my satisfaction, and if anyone needs a motorcycle accident lawyer, I recommend him highly.
